Vshares – Prestige Eyebrow & Lash Specialist

I have waited long enough and i cant wait to post this review. To be honest, some might feel that this review is extremely mean and some might even not finish reading it.

But i really can’t be bothered because i have TOLERATED like crazy before i finally have time to write this, and to be fair to the brand  that i am reviewing, i have given enough time for them to show me otherwise.

From the above, it is not hard to guess that this review is negative. Yeap, it is and it is not because i am not sponsored, it is also not because i have paid $588 for the package. Read on to find out.

20140624_221732

Basically, i have done Eyelash extension for  years and i have been to the worst and a few good ones around. The most common one has to be Milly’s. They are not fantastic but they are considered ‘fine’ to me, in terms of service and quality. The lashes might nt be all that natural (i am saying  this for the lashes i got 1 year+ ago as i am not sure if they have new products lately) but it was still considered as average in terms of the softness and quality. Their services can be better but i am glad that there is no hard selling, the ladies there are mostly from China and were relatively friendly.

Then, the few eyelash parlors at City Plaza…frankly, they are the cheapest lot but even if i have to go bare on my eyelash, i will never be back again. The quality of the eyelash is horrendous, hard and stiff is not all…the glue that they used gave a strong stench and also hurts the eyes badly.
Service is outrageous as well, when you complain about the quality of they glue & lashes, all they can reply was “no, we use very good quality stuff” #indenial
Seriously, i paid $50 for a lesson and  that was that.

Now, i am gona  talk about my expensive $588 package for the recent eyelash extension. $588 might be cheap to some, might also be acceptable to others. For me, it is not considered cheap if the service and quality sucks. It is considered as OUTRIGHT robbery.
If you calculate, $588/6months is equal to $98 per month if you go back monthly for touchups.
Look, if everything is well, i wouldnt mind spending that amount for a  6months unlimited eyelash extension package. Not that i am filthy rich but if it is worthy, i believe nobody will complain much too.

I have to emphasize that whatever is written on this  blogpost is merely MY OWN OPINIONS, i paid for the service and thus i have the rights to review and feedback how i honestly feel. I am not trying to tarnish anyone’s reputation nor branding here… but i am narrating what i went through as a customer and the unpleasant experience that i had.

I usually go to a small shophouse located in Bishan for my eyelash extension and the reason why i never go back is because it is rather far and they are always fully booked. The envionrment and service was superb and there is absolutely NO hardselling at all. They just do what they need to, collect the money from you, and  that’s it. Even though they are offering packages that cost a few hundreds, they just state on a board at the cashier area and if you are keen, you  take it. If you are not, they will not push it to you as well. The quality of the eyelash has to be 1 of the best i ever had, soft and the glue is not stinky nor pricky. After a few weeks, the eyelash will still stay ‘curled up’ and not droopy. To top it off, not many strands were found dropping. The price for this is approx $75 and this usually last me a month. I feel it is totally worth it. 1 of  the mediacorp actresses patronizes this place, i know because we used to be in the same church (i do not feel comfy revealing her name)

About 6 to 7 months ago, i came to know about The Prestige Eyebrow & Lash Specialist through a friend. She read about it online as the shop actually got a lot of bloggers to advertise for  them (just to name a few, Rachel Wong, Naomi and etc)
I do not read their blogs (due to age factor and etc, some are  too young and 1 of them also cant make herself clear in the blogposts which causes frustration when reading. Just saying) but i  thought i might just give this shop a try for the eyelash extension service.

It is 1 of my most horrible experiences. I will just say, i will not be back even if they are offering FOC.

Sometime in Jan, i went to the shop and wanted to try out the eyelash extension before CNY as the Bishan place that i went have bookings so full n i refused  to wait.
For this Prestige place, I was told that if i quote certain blogger’s name, i get a certain trial pricing or something. So i did.
In the end, i was asked to buy a 6months package because the lady (supposingly 1 of the owners) told me that they are charging extra as it is 1 week away from CNY) and that i should buy  the package because the quote (of blogger’s name) is not valid as well. (HUH?)
The total damage will amount more or less close to the package price which is $588.
They did not even bother to let me take a look at the $488 package (claiming to be some Japanese extenstion) but sold the $588 (Korean package) to me straight.

Ok, that wasnt their fault, i said yes to the $588  Stupidly. However, i thought back and maybe they should at least show their customers what is the diff between the both instead of just pushing the more expensive package.

20140624_222239

Ok, whatever. I bought the $588 6months unlimited eyelash extension package.

Initially, it was still ok, everything was normal.  The quality of the lash is ok, the service was nowhere near good but still acceptable. Whenever i call to make an appointment, i will always be told  that the  dates and time i chose are not available. I thought “fine, this is what usually happen, moreover, i paid the money already thus i should be prepared to take such crap”
(having said  that, we really should not lower our expectations of service due to such bad service brands)

20140624_215747You be the judge. I swear i didnt rub nor even dare to touch these horrendous lashes done by them.

20140624_215733

20140624_215705

The staff there are not friendly but it is ok, i do not need to chat since i can take naps while they do their work. The thing that actually puts me off was that, they will push other packages to you and if you say “no”, be prepared for those black sunken faces. Somehow, the vibe changes from not frindly to demeaning. Maybe i was sensitive but they really do not make you feel that you are an esteemed customer of theirs.

They  charged me $588 right? Then, they told me i have to top up $30 for their newest product of ‘Mink lashes’. Claiming that it is new and very comfy. So i did, for the sake of comfy DESPITE PAYING $588 BEFORE THAT.
Today, 30th June, at 11am, i went to check out their FB…guess what i saw?

nonsense

CAN SOMEONE ENLIGHTEN ME ON THIS? Why was i charged extra $30 for the Mink lashes when i have already paid $588 for the package? And why are they selling the package of MINK lashes at $588 now?

DEAR PRESTIGE, if you are reading this, would you mind explaining to me and refunding my $30?

As this continues, i made lesser trips back to the place even after paying that sum for unlimited usage. I tried to tolerate till almost all the lashes fell off before going back for touch ups.
The most appalling experience will be the time which i went over at 645pm (i end work at 6 and although they hate that i make appointments at 630-645, they have to take it as i really do not have time to accomodate to their request of early timing since they are opened till 8?)

I reached the place at 650pm and requested for them to remove all the lashes that were half hanging and replant new ones. All i got from them was “We do not have enough time  to do that. Removing needs 1/2 hr and replanting needs another 1hr plus. We have to close soon”

RIDICULOUS. What the heck? Even beauty salons have to stay back if the customers have reasonable requests? Moreover, i arrived just 5 mins later  and they told me they cant do it for me?! Where is the professionalism and responsibility?

So, after removing all the half hanging lashes, they asked me to let my lids rest for time being and refused to replant the new lashes for me. They then started to off lights and closed shop.

How i felt back then? SHORTCHANGED. Unlimited services? BULLSHIT.

Droopy eyelash extension by Prestige, in just 1o days. Amazing.20140624_221902

DROOPY EYELASH EXTENSION anyone?
Now u know where you can  get it too!

The experience for that torturous 6 months was terrible and the worst 1 has to be the last time which i went. I decided to end the misery the moment my package ends. Went back to touch up and this time round, they did it within 20mins. How amazing yea?

Of cos, i am prepared for the worst but i just want to end this bullshit package once and for all. The lashes fell quickly and on the first day of retouch, 3 thick strands have fallen off. The lashes were not only NOT curled up, they were pointing in ALL directions looking disgustingly disappointing.

Till date, it is 2 weeks since i last visited, well not exactly 2 weeks since i last visited on 18th of June…The lashes are at its very bad stage now. Pointing in all directions, and over a total of 10 thick strands have fallen.

20140624_221746

Droopy AND Dropping.

Anywhere

20140624_220142

Everywhere!20140625_133157

I have to also emphasize that i did not rub the eyes, i took good care when it comes to washing face though i did not wear goggles because the good eyelash extension i had does not requires me to do that, i try to avoid the lashes whenever i am removing makeup.

YET THE LASHES ARE STILL FALLING LIKE NOBODY’S BUSINESS.

Really, as if $588 for a 6 mths package of unfriendly services  is not enough, the poor workmanship is also heartbreaking.

20140624_221746

Eyelash extension pointing in all directions, North South East West, you name it, they do it!20140624_215837

I will never step a foot back to that place again. It is full of lies, deceit and yes, it is only $30  that i am being cheated of but it is a matter of principle. Once again,  this is my own experience and  there are still dozens of bloggers praising that shop, well, i duno. Prestige might be really good, just not to/for me, they might be really nice to the bloggers, i am not sure. But you can be sure they are  really nice to the socialites and models/bloggers (basically whoever they sponsored)! Haha.

Irony isnt it, treat your customers like shit but the bloggers like God. This is one of the most disgusting traits a business should have.

I am not writing this because of the owner who made newspapers’  headlines due to her self-claimed friendship with the multi millionaire’s daughter. Neither do i know them personally. I have nothing to gain from this negative review. But i really need to warn all ladies out there. So yeap. Read this with an open mind.

But seriously, whatever, not going back again. Yeap.

Comments: Lacks of Integrity

Anyway, since it has been sometime since i last share. Maybe to recap on the above:

Here is a little elaboration and explanation of how it works, i will include the following points to make reading easier:

  • Category is product/services’ category.
In this case, Beauty as it is.
  • Value for money is how affordable it is comparing to market price, you see 1 Vs and that is on the scale of 5Vs.
1 V means it is rather expensive and 5Vs means it is very affordable  comparing to market rate.
Thus here, i am suggesting that it is not worth the money AT ALL.
  • Level of Service is to tell you how satisfied i am with the service. Please bear in mind  that i am Not fussy but i am rather particular with services.
In this case, i gave 1 Vs out of 5Vs. Which also means that the service basically fail because it is like 1 stars out of 5.
  • Likes means how much i enjoy/like the service or product in overall.
In this case, it is a major flop.
  • Will i recommend to my friend: No
    Needless to explain.

At its Best

Sometimes, the most beautiful people and the most beautiful stories are the ones that ended at its best.

A beautiful soul is just a beautiful soul, but e loss of it makes it extremely irresistible and desirable.

And so it applies to many things in life isnt it?

Romeo and Juliet are legends in the  romance world only because someone died, lazy to name the many other examples but you get the drift.

Sometimes, ending the story at its best, can be beautiful…too.

Vshares sOmang Midnight Regenerating Hydro Intense Sleeping Cream

then and nowYou know, how they usually compare when they put your old pictures and current pictures side by side for a comparison during a skincare product Advertisement?

Yah, here you go. Not only me, but also my lovely GF!

Hope there isnt much changes though…  😡

Today i am sharing about a rather new Korean Skincare/ Beauty Brand in Singapore.
I am not sure if they are new, but frankly, they are to me because i only get to know about this brand not too long ago.

The Brand of the product is sOmang. You may either check them out at their FB or their Website. Perhaps they have been around for sometime but for those that have not heard about them like me, you may read them up ya.

This review is not sponsored and i am gona share my experience with their popular product – ONL by sOmang Midnight Regenerating Hydro Intense Sleeping Cream.

It was around Mid Autumn Festival that i came to know about sOmang. 1 of their staff came to my workplace and brought tons of samples for me. I do not know him prior to the meeting but it was really a nice gesture. Basically, he just wants to let me try out the products with no obligations nor agenda. I was kinda blessed that day.

So, there are alot of different products inside the bag but i gave some to my boss. I am sucha sharing person. Haha. So, i havent finish using all the other products but i have started on the sOmang Midnight Regenerating Hydro Intense Sleeping Cream and am finishing it.

It came as a sachet like this:

IMG_20131104_2

And i thought to myself: oh man, sucha small packet! It’s not even enough for 1 side of my face please!

But to my pleasant surprise, the small sachet of sOmang Midnight Regenerating Hydro Intense Sleeping Cream (almost half the size of your Samsung s3) can last me up to 2 times of usage. I still have leftover and i will prolly use it (the 3rd time) this weekend again.

So, either my face is not that big or the cream is really alot in the small sachet. Is not that i am so greedy that i have to split the pathetic small sachet into 3 times. But, there is really alot of cream and i have tried my best to spread my whole face but there is still so much left.

Uh huh, no choice, but to keep it for the next time.

The original packaging will look like this, above was just the sample sachet packaging:

somang-midnight-cream

Midnight

Price: $59.90

Here is what the product contains:

• Natural herbs—lavender leaves, lemon balm leaves, rosemary leaves, and chamomile leaves
• Induces sleep, calms nerves and recovers skin from fatigue.
• Triple wild herbs
• Evening primrose, dandelion and mistletoe help to alleviate stress
• Seawater
• Rich in protein, lactose, lactic acid, vitamins and other inorganic substances that help skin regeneration. It also soothes and responds to skin damages caused by UV rays and other harmful elements.
• Carnosine
• An unique antioxidant for our skin
.
.
It was my first time using the product and to be honest, i was really impressed by its pretty packaging even though it was just a sachet. After i opened the sachet, the first thing that strikes me was the smell of the product.

It smells so good that i cant stop sniffing my fingers as i spread the cream all over the face. Now, i do not know how to describe the scent, it is neither fruity, floral or anything. But it is just so nice and really, i duno how. LOL.

Then, the next thing on my mind was “will this be sticky?”

The texture of the cream feels very “Matty” and “Waxy” , it is a light water-based cream that looks matt but according to  the researches i made online, it does not compromise in providing deep hydration with anti-wrinkle and whitening effect.
It does absorbs easily into the skin and is said to be suitable for all skin types.
It glides on easily on skin.
The brand also claims that It forms a layer of protection that increases skin moisture retention and elasticity.

IMG_20131104_3

IMG_20131104_4

It was kinda contradicting for me because upon spreading on my face, it feels very errmmm… i wouldnt say it is powdery, but is really waxy. Yet, it does make me feel a little sticky after finishing applying. Usually, i thought that Matt/Waxy and Sticky dont go together but shrugs.

IMG_20131104_1non filtered/edited

So, anyway, the stickiness is still not that bad and i am cool with it. Went to sleep with the cream on and woke up to smoother skin.

However, i wouldnt say it is really miraculous, it is just smoother, like “normal smoother”. Nothing spectacular. I wouldnt spend the amount on the tub because it works almost the same as any other moisturizer but if you are a sucker for great scent products, then perhaps you might give it a try?

Lock an Ocean on your face – Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion review

Sponsored Review

Heylo everyone! So i am back talking about 1 of the most raved about
skincare products today, the
majestic Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion.

Hada Labo SHA Lotion (use this)
This is a sponsored review but rest assured that this post will be as honest as the rest of my sharing because even without the sponsorship, i have always been a regular customer of Hada Labo.

You would have known if you read my blog regularly, or you may read my previous entry HERE.

Like what i mentioned previously, i have never tried any products for my skin because:

1) i am lazy
2) i always think my skin is fine (no acne problem, no major issues)
3) i couldnt find a simple and convincing product

Recapping abit, I was whining to my little sister about how “flaky” and dry i feel about my skin and she passed me a bottle of Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion.
I did not really pin my hopes high because i was already trying out the famous “Miracle Water” (not gona slam the brand but you should know which one i am talking about) but there was no miracle for  me  and that bottle of “Miracle Water” was not cheap, despite the fact that it was  given by a working partner.

Having the mentality of “no harm trying”, i slapped on the Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion all over my face.
Well, according to the advertisement, a drop of Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion can lock up an ocean.
To be honest, i was still skeptical then but really, it was one of the best decisions i ever made for my skin in my 20+ years of life.
(nope, not revealing my age lol, not  that it matters but if you wana know,  i can tell you, i shant announce it publicly. :p)

The result is INSTANT.

x23805182

Yah, you might think it is a little too exaggerating, but trust me, i wouldnt praise the product if it is not giving me any result. Not even if it is sponsored. You know how much i detest manipulating untrue reviews.
You get the drift.

So, back to what i was saying, the result was instant and i can feel my flaky skin turns smooth immediately.
I was like “ok, maybe i am just heng (lucky) this time”

But there was no harm trying since it makes me feel good and thus i started using it daily, twice a day, morning and night.
My skin has never never feel so hydrated and bouncy.
The flaky problem no longer haunts me (my skin was so dry that it starts to peels and i have flaks of dry skin hanging on my face. Gross much!)
and ever since the day i started on this product, i have no regrets but i am filled with contentment everyday.

Here are the reasons why:

1) Smoother skin
2) Skin is much hydrated and no longer feels dry and flaky
3) Much easier when putting on  cosmetics (not sure why but it was terrible putting on make up during those flaky and dry times)
4) No more dull and yellow skin tone on the face, there is a natural glow
5) It is not sticky after applying
6) Besides hydrating, it acts as a toner.

Seeing is believing, and i have always stood by my principle of showing what is real during a sharing/review.
No filter and editting is needed because i want to show the true result instead of a picture filled with filters and edits.
(i know there are plenty of reviews out there that paint fanciful photos using photoshop but that is really not what i want to share with my readers.)

Right, i will indicate if the photos are unedited, as i do not feel good ‘deceiving’ readers. lol, it’s just me.

IMG_20131013_1This photo is filtered. But there isnt much diff to the texture and condition to my everyday skin. More pictures below!
Pardon the perspiration, pic was after Zumba. I only had my eyeliner on.

So, after a long sharing of how i came to use this product, here are the essential facts of the brand, the product and its origin :

About Hada Labo

Did you know?

NEWSFLASH_1(pp_w699_h330)

And as if the Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion isnt the best thing that one can ever has,

here is another piece of Great News!

Hada Labo Now Introduces New Hada Labo ‘LIGHT’ HYDRATING LOTION

Hada Labo, the brand that brings you the bestselling hydrating lotion from Japan (1 sold every 2 seconds), is now also the bestselling hydrating lotion in Singapore*. In 2013, it introduces a NEW ‘Light’ hydrating lotion, specially formulated for consumers with Oily and Combination Skin.

The ‘Light’ hydrating lotion formula and texture is lighter and more refreshing.

hb2please note that it is currently available in Watsons only. *Japan Intage and AC Nielsen Singapore 2012.

Like what i always say, i always trusted Asian brands when it comes skincare as i believe they know what Asians really want and need.

New SHA Hydrating Light Lotion. Dual usgae of Lotions!1)Double Cleansing

2)Hydration Boost. Step 1: Sweep upward and outward with soaked cotton wool of Super Hyaluronic Lotion
Step 2: Pour 3drops of Super Hyaluronic Lotion
Step 3: Apply on face area by area
Step 4: Pat on face with whole palm using gentle pressure.
Step 5: Use Super Hyaluronic Hydrating Essence followed by Hyaluronic Hydrating milk.

Also, there is always a myth of people having ‘breakouts’ after they stop using the product.
This is untrue for Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion because there was once or twice that i forgot to apply after cleansing because i was too tired and i only realize it the next day when the skin felt a little drier. But definitely NO breakouts nor major issue.

Having said that, I cant say the same if i stop using the product for more than a week or month because i have never want to stop using it due to its effectiveness in giving me the bouncy and translucent skin that i desire.

Another plus point of the product is definitely its pricing. Priced at $22.90/ bottle of 170ml, i doubt you can find a more affordable product out there that gives you the desirable result as Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Lotion.

And…..the philosophy of Hada Labo also marks the end of my review/ sharing:

Vshares – Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream ( Milk Tea)

Today i am gona share about Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream (Milk Tea flavour).

Yums, sounds yummy and i am reminded of 珍珠奶茶 (Pearl Milk Tea) every time i mention this product.
I raised my eyebrow when i first saw this product,
I know there are many skincare masks and etc that use food as their primary ingredient (like Red wine, Aloe Vera, Honey and etc)

But Cleansing Cream? Very rare to me.
Perhaps i wasnt a beauty junkie to start with, pardon my suaku-ness (ignorance).

Anyway, i use a normal face cleanser and this is my first time using a cleansing cream. I didnt want to try cream but…

1) it looks too interesting (you know how attractive is Etude House packaging)
2) it sounds kinda yummy for the skin (since bubble tea/ Pearl Milk Tea is so yummy for the tummy…ok no linkage but wadever)

Anw, the real reason why i decided to buy this product was because i am running out of make up remover.
Yes! You heard me right, this cleansing cream actually works as a make up remover, and according to the promoter, it moisturize your skin at the same time. Because it is never a bad thing to hydrate and moisturize my skin more since i have dry skin, i bought a tub to try.

hmtJust for your information, there are other flavors for this series and they are Lemon Tea and Aloe Tea
(as below, packaging as appealing as the Milk Tea flavor)
If i never remember wrongly on the price, it should be 180ml at $7.40

Available at Etude House.

251309035643_1_0_1 251309035571_1_0_1

So, you must be thinking what are the 3 different flavors for.  Well…. I Dont Know.
LOL

Chill. That was what the promoter at Etude House told me.  But for the benefit of my readers, i did a mini research on the differences.

So What are the 3 Flavors About?
Basically, i read up and gathered that Milk Tea is more for sensitive skin and it is hypoallergenic.
This Etude House Happy Teatime Milk Tea Cleansing Cream is formulated with Milk Protein to remove dirt and makeup while keeping skin moisturized with the pleasant fragrance of tea.
Lemon Tea is for oily skin and Aloe Tea is for dry skin.
Most of the time, all 3 of them work equally as well for combination skin.

IMG_20131014_9

Well, i did not know these when i bought the Milk Tea flavor, if not i would have chosen Aloe Tea. But i guess it is fine, it works well till date,

All pictures showing my face below are non edited, non filtered (to show true results)

IMG_20131022_3
For Comparison, i removed the make up on my right eye (your left) with Brand XX make up remover. (oil based)

IMG_20131022_2

How do you remove make up using Etude House Happy Teatime Milk Tea Cleansing Cream?
Apply cream to all areas of the face. Massage thoroughly and wipe clean with cleansing tissues or rinse with warm water to remove excess.

IMG_20131022_4

IMG_20131022_5Here is the rich white cream. it glides on easily and feels  very soft against the skin.
I would say it is easy to spread on the face. There is also a mild milky smell.

IMG_20131022_6

IMG_20131022_7

IMG_20131022_9

IMG_20131022_8This is the comparison between the both make up remover.
I cleaned my right eye (your left) with brand XX and my left eye (your right) with Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream ( Milk Tea)
Verdict: The eye that was cleaned by Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream ( Milk Tea) appears to be cleaner.

IMG_20131022_10My whole face is cleaned using Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream ( Milk Tea).

Does it sting or prick the eyes?
It is almost impossible not to get the makeup remover into the eyes. I especially hate it when my eyes are pricked  while i remove the stubborn stains. Imagine my relief when Etude House Happy Teatime Cleansing Cream doesn’t sting or irritate the eyes.
However, it does make my eye sight a bit blurry for a few minutes but that’s about it, not painful, no major fuss.

VERDICT:
Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream ( Milk Tea) melts away most of my makeup. It removes almost everything except heavy duty mascara and heavy eye make up.
Etude House Happy Teatime Cleansing Cream does a pretty good job for light to medium coverage foundations and water-proof eyeliners.

IMG_20131015_1Usually, it is easier to remove make up like this using Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream.
(pic is filtered)

IMG_20131014_7Recently i ‘played’ make up with my gf as we wanted to create some different looks. Please dont judge us. LOL
Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Cream does not really work its magic that well if you are expecting to remove heavy make up like the above.
(pic is filtered)

OPPS!
One thing that i dislike will be the oily feeling i get after cleansing,. I know that it is not necessary to cleanse another time with my cleanser but i did, because i hated that oily feeling.

YAY!
I love the fact that the cream is so soft and gentle, it doesnt prick my eyes like other make up remover.

Overall, I’d say that Etude House Happy Teatime Cleansing Cream is worth trying – it’s affordable and effective most of the time.
It does help in making the dreadful process of removing makeup after a long tiring day more bearable.
However, i am still on a lookout for better make up remover, thus i will definitely share if i manage to find a better product!

Vdates – October Fantastic Baby Edition

IMG_20131001_2Hi!

Happy Monday! I am dozing off after the crazy amount of workout ytd and 1/2 of the atarax.
Actually, i have been deprived of sleep since Friday. FML!

YAWNS!!!!
Ok, before anything, i would like to share my very first Korean POP song.

LOL!

I didnt even know they are called the Big Bang until my little sis told me ytd (we were dancing to this song for Zumba).
At first, i was like “WTF? Y KPOP AH?”

My sis screamed with excitement. I stared at her. She was so excited for K-POP. Goodness.
I dont fancy and i wont be keen in KPOP at all.
Sorry KPOP fans, i dont mean to offend, but i really do not know how to appreciate lah, sorry. I old liao, so i am very “evergreen-ish” LOL

But i must admit that i am addicted to this song, prolly due to the dance. HAHA.
Sometime back, i was asking my sister “eh who is G dragon ar? which band is that ar? y got so many de, y gt Big Bang, gt G dragon, gt don’t know what Tarsha or wadever “(sorry, i really do not know how to spell the right name, if i spell any name wrongly, my bad!)

Sister: G Dragon is 1 of the members in Big Bang.

I: FML. U mean it isnt a band?

Sister: Nope, he is in Big Bang.

LOL! Is this generation gap? I was like…shit, i am really sounding OLD now.  But why does people actually like these Korean boy bands ar?
I was looking at the MV for the 13832820 time and i still do not find them cute AT ALL leh?
Ok, there is this blue hair dude with green eyebrows, he looks ok.
Sis say his name is TOP, and is her fav guy in the group. Right.
But the rest are like….cute meh?
I even asked her to please point out G dragon to me, as i was asking over Line, (an app on iphones and android) all she can tell me was “he is the most skinny dude”

I: The long hair on one side guy ar?
Sister: yea.

OMG, why would anyone think this is cute ar?!

Ok, i better stop here. I am sorry Kpop fans, i am really old already, cant blame ah, i am just not appreciative but i really  think the music is very addictive. Haha, and very nice to dance along too!

I also admire the fact that they are so creative in their appearances and make up, so yah.
Hope that make up the fact that “i do not know how to find them cool/cute.”  -_-

big-bang-still-alive1

Eh, who is G Dragon again??? Which one???? There is no one with long hair in this pic leh!

Ok, so much for Big  Bang and Kpop. Haha, as i was saying, i had my first Zumba lesson ytd with Sis and GF. It was mad fun. But Gf didnt like it much. Both sis and i were enjoying so much n i am yearning for  more. 1 hr passed by so quickly. It was really fun, we danced to different genres of songs, and of course, 1 of which was the 1 above, that was my first true ‘interaction’ with Kpop HAHAH!
Actually not exactly, just that i danced to it for the 1st time, Sis plays Kpop all the time at home and i just roll my eyes everytime.
We also tried street jazz, hip hop, reggae, disco, and many others. I was sweating like a pig and it was really fun, cant wait for the next lesson! 😛

Because the GF wasnt really enjoying, so we accompanied her for her fav Body Combat lesson, and you know what, i was so damn sure i cant even complete the class because it was already mad  tiring after 1 hr of non stop dancing.
But i did! All of us survived the Body combat lesson and i am extremely proud of myself.
Looks like my stamina is catching up and i am getting fitter! HAHA.

Before that, i was telling GF that i will never complete the Body Combat lesson because of 2 reasons:
1) It killed me last week and i sprained every part of my legs
2) After 1 hr of Zumba, i think i will prolly die  there if i continue with Body Combat. It was a back to back lesson, immediately after the Zumba, Body Combat continues.

But we did it! Pats on my own shoulder. 🙂  Did it.

You see, i mentioned before that Exercising really makes 1 very motivated and makes 1 understand that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.
Alot of times, we give up when we are nearly there, but if we endure that bit more, we will reach there!

Anyway, i have been pushing myself to work out recently as i was getting complacent. But thank  God i found new classes like Zumba and etc to keep me going! It is no longer just cycling and stepping machines, they are rather boring to me now.
Also, i have been lifting weights to tone those flabby arms and working on the various machines to tone the fat thighs. They are not skinny but they are not that flabby 😡 But….

IMG_20131006_4

Please ah, this picture is definitely edited. If not my skin wudnt be that smooth looking.
It is filtered like crazy. But with phone app, not photoshop. i STILL do not know how to use PS. -_-

IMG_20131006_3

Still a long way to go and i really enjoy sweating, and will continue exercising! I am also on a program that helps to build up my metabolism, aids reducing Visceral fats, (please take some time to click on the link of Visceral fats as it is apparently more dangerous than the normal fats that you can see with your naked eyes). I have been on this program for approximately 20days?
I can already see the small difference of my body shape but i shall sum in up at the end of my program and show some before and after pictures.
I do not think i wana show it now as there will definitely be more differences in the next 2 months, i will show my progress along the way though and reveal the program to you at the end of the program.  You be the judge and see if it is effective ok?

Will talk more about that program. Those that are keen to know can pm me at valenciafaithz.z@gmail.com.

Of course, i feel better of myself now because a good  change (to the body) is always a pleasant sight to the eyes of many, but most importantly, my eyes love what they see in the mirror. 🙂

IMG_20131002_6Pardon this super random weird pic, i just love it whenever i flex those hard muscles while fixing the hair.
I used to have really flabby arms, so i am darn proud of myself now 😛

Anw, my past week was busy planning for …Project L, and i managed to catch up with Alan and Zen (my fav maid. haha) over the Friday. It was also Felyncia’s Birthday, though we were never close, but i wish her a very good birthday and may she find her own happiness soon! 🙂

It’s been so long, am i glad to see her again and she still look so beautiful. Thank God she still treat me as a friend as there was some misunderstandings in the past between us. Though we can never go back to those days but thank God we are still well. 🙂

I haven been hanging out for so long and i totally let loose that night and went home feeling a tad drunk. Went to bed at 5ish and woke up at 9 the next day. Made breakfast for myself and felt lik crap. Hangover is bad, but Hangover after so many years, is worse. I was like a walking zombie.

But thank goodness i had enough training back in those days when i was marketing for Lifebrandz, i managed to reach home safely. 😛 Ok, i have to include the fact  that i was marketing in that ex co because alot of crazy people actually think i was working as some hostess if i say my prev job needs to drink like a fish. Just a tiny clarification, thanks!

So Saturday, Aunt treated us to dinner and yah, the dinner was really good. In fact, if you ask me to choose spending $ at some restaurant or this place, i will not hesitate to recommend this eating place. It is located at Aljunied, in fact, it is very near to Aljunied MRT station, just beside it.
Every item from the menu is good and it only cost us $160+ for 6 pax. We ordered alot of food that day.
1) Marmite chicken
2) Braised Fish Steamboat
3) Kang Kong (Veg)
4) Xiao Bai Cai (Veg)
5) Salted Egg Prawns
6) Yam Ring

The affordable prices of the food does not compromise with the quality and it is definitely worth it. However, the downside of the place would be the waiting time. It takes a longer time as it is always crowded, and the waiting time for food is rather long too. But that is small problem, i rather wait for good food than eating crappy food at some expensive restaurants.

Yeap. Address of the place is : 76 Lorong 25A Geylang

Anw, like i was saying, i was working out like a mad woman yesterday and i slept like a baby last night. Wanted to continue as a baby but of course, i cant, and i am here, dozing off.

Alright, i am really zonking out and i gtg, till the next post people! God Bless

Vdates Mini End Sept

IMG_20130924_200507Hihi! It’s been long as always. 😛

Nothing much but still as busy as ever.

Took the step to step out and everything STILL seems surreal, i reckon it will feel as surreal till the day really comes.

Anyway, i will update on that.

Recently, i read an article and thought it might be of good help to alot of gals/women who are hopelessly in love.

The beginning of the article sounds extremely familiar and i wud definitely write something like that. Totally relates to me.

Well, if you are lost and not sure if you are dating right, please have a read and save yourself.

“When I was in my early twenties, if a guy acted aloof, called back only sometimes and showed minimal interest, I would get hooked. You could say I was addicted to the bad boy/ unavailable boy/ player. I was drawn to what psychotherapist, Ken Page terms as “attractions of deprivation” – when we are drawn to people who embody the worst emotional characteristics of our parents. Basically, the theory explains that we are attracted to people who can wound us the same way we were wounded in our childhood, as our psyche tries to recreate the past void and save us by changing its ending.

“The child in us believes that if the original perpetrators — or their current replacements — finally change their minds, apologize, or make up for that terrible rupture of trust, we can escape from our prison of unworthiness. Our conscious self is drawn to the positive qualities we yearn for, but our unconscious draws us to the qualities which hurt us the most as children.”  – Psychology Today

So games used to work on me because 1) I had unresolved daddy issues and 2) At the tender age of 20, I was trying to figure out who I was and to top it off, I was ridden with insecurity and a low sense of self-worth.

But somewhere in between the passing of a decade, something changed.

I learned to love myself.  I became independent, confident, and started to value my self-worth. I went through hardships and heartbreaks and picked myself back up which built my strength and courage. Instead of relying on beauty as my source of empowerment, I focused on basing my empowerment on my intelligence, successes, values, contributions to the world and how I helped others. In a sense, I finally grew up. I went from being a girl to becoming a woman. And as a woman, you are attracted to very different things than you are as a girl.

A girl is attracted to boys. A woman is attracted to men. Now, this has nothing to do with the actual age of a person. I’m referring to maturity, life vision and stage of life. In fact, some people regardless of their age, will never really grow up. You can switch the genders in this post and most points would likely still apply. Or, read this post on “The 11 Differences Between Dating a Girl vs a Woman“.

If you are a girl (lack independence, are ruled by insecurity, lack self-respect, throw tantrums, have princess syndrome, don’t have strong values or boundaries and can’t hold yourself on your own) then expect that you will attract only boys. However, if you are a woman (independent, ambitious, knows your worth and value, has a strong moral compass, is considerate and an able communicator and doesn’t let insecurity dominate your psyche), then you should be dating a man. And if you can’t spot the difference just yet, here are some pointers.

  1. A man knows what he wants, and goes for it. A boy may have somewhat of an idea, but not really. He doesn’t think too much about it, and even if he does, doesn’t exert much effort to get it. A boy is passive, a man is assertive.
  2. A man plans for his future and is working towards building a foundation and infrastructure in order to have a family (at some point in his life).  A boy lives only in the moment and his plans are mostly around which bar he’s going to hit up on the weekend.
  3. A man looks for a woman with intelligence, who is supportive, grounded and encompasses a shared set of values when choosing a partner. A boy cares mostly only for girls who are hot, wild and exciting.
  4. A man knows a good woman when he meets one and will take initiative to get to know her. A boy may make an attempt if you’re lucky, but gives up before ever really trying.
  5. A man has the courage to have uncomfortable conversations. He is honest with his intentions and lets people know where they stand. A boy avoids. He ignores confrontation or any serious talks about feelings. Instead of dealing with a situation, he runs away from it or creates drama or excuses to mask the fact he’s not that into you or a relationship.
  6. A man knows when to invest in a woman and jump in with two feet. A boy is always “testing” – he doesn’t fully commit because he never knows if he is quite ready. But the truth is, because he is a boy, regardless of who he meets, he will never be ready due to the stage of life he is in.
  7. A man knows how to have a good time and be social, but is often busy making strides in his career and building his life. A boy is getting crunk with his buddies at the bar every weekend.
  8. A man takes the time to reflect on the type of man he wants to be, the example he wants to leave and the vision for his life. He has put thought into his values. A boy has not established his moral compass or values and consequently, is often inconsistent.
  9. A man has integrity. He means what he says, and says what he means. He has follow through and actions his promises. And if he can’t he has the guts to tell you why. A boy makes promises but doesn’t follow through.
  10. A man is afraid of rejection but will put himself out there anyway. A boy is afraid of rejection and acts passive so that his pride and ego won’t ever get too banged up.

Now, a lot of these differences require taking the time to know someone to figure out if the apple of your eye is indeed a man, or a mere boy. However, one of the quickest filters that you can notice from the beginning is this:

11. A boy plays games. A man doesn’t.

*To clarify, when I’m referring to “games” I mean mind games.”

The above article in italics does not belong to me. I am just sharing.

As For Me….

IMG_20130922_194827Yup, i absolutely agree and i have far too many goals to attain now. I have been with the right ones but regretably they have to leave and i have to leave. And the wrong ones, thanks but no thanks, i had enough of bullshits. Special thanks to that last ex who beat the hell outta me to let me grow up and grow out of being silly enough to stick to an abusive man who slps around.
I am never so thankful for being alone now.

But who knows which nice angel will appear next right? But till then, no bullshit, drama free, focus on food. LOL. kidding, focus on the more important stuff.

Meanwhile, some Throwback pictures, went to Slug again with gf and love love love the brunch and chilling session as always. I love Garden Slug, i love the boss of Slug, he is very nice and considerate and is constantly checking how we feel about the food. If there is anything we are unhappy about, he would change another plate for us or offer some other nice gestures which i do not want to say much. (just in case there are rotten apples who wana take advantage of him!)
LOL. But generally, he is a nice chap that really take care of his customer. It is also a place for the PLUs and Garden slug welcome animals 🙂

It is a nice chilling place and personally, i love the food. No special recommendation because so far, i love al the food i order and i am trying to get gf to go back again tis week, Hopefully.

Thanks Gf for the above!

There are plenty of Mooncakes at home now, from various friends and i have no particular interest in them. Lucky me.
but for the snowskin (s), i am guilty… :p

IMG_20130915_140508
Basically, alot of food lah. I was eating like crazy. Actually, not really crazy crazy but i wasnt starving.
How is that consider a diet plan?

Well, i am on a program right now and all i have to do is eat moderately.
I wasnt exactly gorging, but i am def not starving.

I just started this plan a week ago, if the result is good, i will definitely share.

Oh and yes, i still exercise, not that frequent but i am still trying my best to do it at least once or twice a week, one and 1/2 hour each time.

IMG_20130920_204757Amazing view during workout. 🙂

IMG_20130920_235727Zen joinned me for the workout and was screaming tired after 5 minutes of cycling. Lousy. LOL

IMG_20130915_160358

And i spent 1 of the Sundays packing my desk. It was WAR zone.

IMG_20130915_165721And i found an old picture of me and my buddy. It was year 2007, i was skinny and dark.
And to those who keep saying i m resting my boobs on his arms, please get a life, it was just the angle.
Y would i do that? He wasnt a bf to begin with and it is quite obscene to hear that.

IMG_20130915_180515

IMG_20130915_164925Trust me, it might not look very neat in these pictures, but the desk was really neat and so much neater than before.
4 hours of packing paid off.
